Pick from hotel Southern sun Mayfair Nairobi to take a full day tour of Nairobi city. We visit the Giraffe Centre, Nairobi Safari Walk, Karen Blixen Museum, Kazuri Beads, Daphne Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. After breakfast we check-out and drive north towards Bogoria. We shall pass by View Point for a peak of Mount Longonot which lies on Kenya’s Rift Valley floor. Baringo is approximately five hours drive from Nairobi so we’ll arrive just in time for lunch and spend the rest of the early afternoon at leisure. We will then visit Lake Bogoria most famous its hot springs which are a natural wonder as they erupt in definite intervals getting to 5ft high. Before dinner enjoy the natural spa pool to relax and unwind on the day’s activities. (O,B,L,D)
After breakfast we check-out and drive southerly towards Nakuru which is Kenya’s fourth largest town and administrative headquarters of Nakuru county. On location is Lake Nakuru an alkaline lake that attracts millions of colourful flamingoes – a haven for bird lovers. Take an afternoon game drive of Lake Nakuru National Park. (O,B,L,D)
After breakfast, drive South West towards Maasai Mara, Kenya’s most famous and world renowned park, home of the annual wildebeest migration. After lunch take the first day afternoon game drive.
Key attractions: BIG Five and scores of other wild animals. Enjoy this atmosphere of unusual serenity and good view of animals, an ideal opportunity for photography. Unwind at one of the best spa facilities in Mara. (O,B,L,D)
Full day at Maasai Mara. Any visit to the Mara is always a pleasant experience and we hope it will be kind to offer us its’ all. Take morning and afternoon game drives. Not to be forgotten is a visit to the hippo and crocodile filled Mara River usually the amphitheatre of the annual wildebeest migration.
Also recommended is a visit to the Maasai Village where you get to interact with the peoples and culture of the Maasai in song, dance and dress. (O,B,L,D)
Sadly this marks the last day of our safari. We drive back after breakfast with an optional stop-over lunch en-route (on own cost). Recommended is dinner at the world famous Carnivore Restaurant before our departure.
