It is one of Kenya’s newest hotels; located 25 miles south of Mombasa town on a quiet stretch of white sandy beach.
With its relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff, Indian Ocean Beach Club is truly in a class of its own, hence rated as a five star hotel.
It has 100 rooms, each with its own verandah, en suite bath/shower and separate toilet, air conditioning and ceiling fan, a hair drier, concealed mini-bar and direct dial telephone. All rooms also, face the beach.
The dinning are is divided into 3: ‘Spices’ which serves breakfast and dinner. Lunch is available on the ocean terrace. There’s also the Bahari Cove, an A-La-C arte restaurant that serves the finest Swahili sea food finally the Dhow Bar that serves cocktails and a place to appreciate sundowners.
A 200-metre free form pool is available plus three plunge- pools. Other facilities include tennis courts, volleyball, croquet, jogging trail and bird watching. Water sports are there in plenty including, sailing canoeing, pedals, scuba diving lessons that are free for all guests.
Business people are also catered for. There’s a fully equipped conference room, The Traders room that is set to make you have both business and leisure experiences.
